Need any extra bats for the final week of the fantasy baseball season? We’ve reached the last week of the 2025 campaign. And with injuries popping up and players being shut down, having reserves — or players who can slot into a lineup — is important. Here’s a look at Week 25 hitter waiver wire targets for championship week in 2025.

Best Week 25 hitters to target

It was a very good last week for catchers. Bo Naylor hit .300 with two home runs and 10 RBI, while Royals backstops Salvador Perez and Carter Jensen each hit over .300 with two home runs.

Drake Baldwin, though, was the real winner of the week. Baldwin drove in a MLB-high 12 RBI, and batted .393 with three home runs.

With Sean Murphy out for the rest of the year, Baldwin is going to play over the last week unless an injury arises. The 24-year-old had himself a great rookie campaign, and he’s two home runs shy of a 20-homer season. He’ll try to get that done at home.

Gabriel Moreno of the Diamondbacks had six more hits this week. Over the last two, the Diamondbacks’ regular catcher is hitting .381 (16-42) with two home runs and seven RBI.

Austin Martin is in the midst of a nine-game hitting streak for the Twins. Martin, once a star prospect, has been playing every day over the last few weeks after Minnesota conducted a teardown. And Martin has proven to be a valuable asset for those who had him rostered.

Martin is tied for 13th with 17 hits across MLB over the last two weeks. He never developed into a power hitter but he can help in other areas. Martin, who owns a .381 OBP this season, picked up four stolen bases and nine runs scored over the last two weeks.

Josh Bell has been going through what can be considered a strong comeback campaign. Bell’s bat speed is back, as his average of 73 MPH is +2.6 compared to last year. It’s shown up in the stat sheets, as Bell has 20 home runs this season. The 33-year-old, in particular, has been very valuable this month.

Four of those home runs have come in September. He’s batting .326 with those four homers and 16 RBI for the Nationals across his last 13 games.

Lastly, we noted Marsee as a name who needed to be rostered last month. If he’s still available and you need an outfielder, please grab him.

The Marlins outfielder has an active seven-game hitting streak. In that span, he had three multi-hit games and two more stolen bases. He’s hitting .322 on the year.

Overview of Week 24

It wasn’t a bad week overall for Royce Lewis, who went deep on September 21 to help the Twins snap the Guardians’ 10-game win streak. Overall, he hit .292 with that home run and six total RBI.

Daylen Lile, meanwhile, continued his tear this past week. Across his last seven games, Lile added two more home runs, five more RBI, and picked up four runs scored.

Nolan Arenado drove in six runs for the Cardinals this week, a good one after he returned from the IL.

It wasn’t a good one, though, for Otto Kemp (.111 AVG, 1 R over 5 GP). Wilyer Abreu, meanwhile, didn’t return from the IL until September 21.
