Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani crushed his major league-leading 16th home run, going long for the third straight game in a 6-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Friday.

The reigning National League MVP made it 4-2 with his towering solo shot to center field off right-hander Ryan Zeferjahn in the bottom of the eighth at Dodger Stadium.

Ohtani finished 2-for-3 against his former club, having led off the game with a single and drawn a walk in the third inning.

The Angels jumped out to an early lead on Yoan Moncada’s two-run homer in the first. They made it 4-0 on Zach Neto’s two-RBI double in the fourth.

Seiya Suzuki went 2-for-4 with two RBIs as the Chicago Cubs battered the Chicago White Sox 13-3.

He made it 6-2 in the six-run second for the Cubs with an RBI double, hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth, and had another double in the eighth.

“Everyone around me is hitting and put me in an easy position, and I’m thankful to them,” said Suzuki, who welcomed former Hiroshima Carp teammate Kenta Maeda to the Cubs after the right-hander signed a minor league contract.

“When he was in Japan, I was in and out of the team. It’d be great if we can play together and hopefully I can show him my development.”
