After clinching the AL West, Seattle Mariners can now turn attention to the top spot in the American League as take on Colorado Rockies.

On Wednesday night the Seattle Mariners (89-69) did something they haven’t done in 24 years – clinch an American League West title. They did so with a 9-2 win over the Colorado Rockies (43-115). The star in that game was MVP candidate Cal Raleigh, who hit two home runs to bring his season total to 60 as he chases the American League MVP Award. He and the Mariners will try to stay hot when they take on the Rockies in the series finale on Thursday.
