NEW YORK – Aaron Judge made some personal home run history Wednesday night, becoming just the fourth player in MLB history to reach at least 50 homers in a season four times.

The others in that club: Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa.

As a team, Judge’s two homers and Trent Grisham’s 34th homer of the year during Wednesday’s 8-1 win against the White Sox gave the Yankees 266 home runs for the year.

That’s the most of any MLB club this year, and it’s the third-highest total in franchise history, with four games left in the regular season.

And it’s already the seventh most by any team in one MLB season, trailing only the 2023 Braves (307), 2019 Twins (307), 2019 Yankees (307), 2019 Astros (288), 2019 Dodgers (279) and 2018 Yankees (267).

As the Yankees, with a focus firmly on winning the AL East, go for a sweep of the woeful White Sox, here is their lineup for Thursday night at Yankee Stadium:

On Thursday night, the Yankees will start veteran lefty Carlos Rodon (17-9), making his final regular season tune-up before the postseason – likely as the No. 2 starter behind lefty ace Max Fried.

Right-hander Davis Martin (7-10, 4.03) starts for the White Sox, who lasted just 3.2 innings against the Yanks in his last start against them, Aug. 28 at Chicago.

In that game, Martin was charged with three runs and surrendered home runs to Bellinger and Chisholm.
