Tohoku Rakuten ‘s Hideto Asamura became the 49th player in NPB history to reach 350 doble.
The batting line took the lead in the first inning with a timely hit by Voight from 2nd base with 2 outs. In the scene of 2 outs and 1st base, Asamura shook the second pitch from 1-0, a fastball that went into the middle. The ball he caught firmly stretched in the center fielder direction and hit the wall above the head of the jumping center fielder. Voight player runner first base ran wildly and survived to home plate. In his 350th career doble, he scored his second run.
Asamura achieved a total of 300 Home Run on April 22 and became the first Heisei-born player to hit 2000 on May 24. And on June 5th, he played in a total of 2,000 games, a record-breaking season.
