An act of generosity has likely turned into bitter regret, with the value of Cal Raleigh’s 60th home run ball being revealed.

A male fan earned the nickname “Anti-Phillies Karen” after making an incredible gesture, handing said ball to a kid immediately after catching it, unlike the woman known as Phillies Karen, who hounded a man and his son down for a ball he retrieved before her earlier this month.

The man in question possessed, for a brief moment, a significant piece of Seattle Mariners history as the home run helped the team reach the playoffs for the first time since 2001.

He could have easily kept it, as there was no confusion over who it belonged to, but he gave it to a young child in the crowd instead.

The fan earned lots of praise on social media, but some fans branded the decision a foolish one, given how much the ball could be worth. It’s since been valued at a pretty hefty sum.

SCP Auctions founder David Kohler told TMZ Sports that the ball could sell for between $100,000 and $200,000.

“The man who gave away Cal Raleigh’s 60th home run ball on Wednesday night might be kicking himself today, ’cause TMZ Sports is told the memento could be worth a small fortune,” the outlet suggested.

“It’s a phenomenal home run ball historically for the Seattle base,” Kohler was quoted as saying. “MLB catchers are very seldom in the home run race of a MLB season. Very unique.”

They say no good deed goes unpunished, and it appears punishment has been doled out.

The fan in question probably wishes he had gone the Phillies Karen route, but it wouldn’t have been nearly as bad, and he definitely wouldn’t have had costumes made in his likeness.

This is all Karen’s fault…
