The Raiders are a step closer to bringing back a state title to Peru.

Parkside Middle School’s baseball team won 6-3 Friday in a Class 2A quarterfinal matchup against Teutopolis. Brendon Suarez and Bradyn Weber each had 2 hits for Parkside. Nick Hermosillo pitched 5 innings to get the win. 

The 14-2 Raiders are back to East Peoria Saturday to play 16-3 Stronghurst West Central. First pitch is set for noon.
