The Phillies on Friday announced they would be hosting their first-ever public intrasquad game. The event will take place at Citizens Bank Park on October 1 while other National League teams battle in the Wild Card round.
Tickets went on sale Saturday morning and within one day, 20,000 have already been sold. Who’s surprised?
The event was originally limited to the lower bowl of seating, but those plans have changed. The team expanded ticket sales to a portion of the upper level as well. You just can’t keep a Phillies fan down.
Tickets are available here and go for $10, with net proceeds going to Phillies Charities Inc.

The ballpark gates will open at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and the game will begin an hour later. Entertainment aside from the game will be available for fans to engage and enjoy the ballpark.
To any other team, this might just be a relaxing event on a weeknight. But it’ll be the first of the month and the city will slip right into Red October mode.
Just three days later, Red October officially begins with Game 1 of the NLDS at Citizens Bank Park. Although the opponent is unknown, it’s safe to say no teams wants to play at this ballpark.
