The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) hosted the annual Sunset Run on Saturday with nearly 40,000 runners, Dodger fans, and yoga enthusiasts who enjoyed a unique evening at the 12th Sunset Run held on the grounds of Dodger Stadium. Runners chose either 5K or 10K courses that circled the stadium and offered scenic views of the Los Angeles skyline. Also on race day, a health and wellness expo drew crowds to the Centerfield Plaza at the stadium.

Sponsored by Bank of America, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, UCLA Health, Security Benefit, and Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation, funds from the event will be used to support wildfire relief and recovery efforts. And this year, more than 3,500 participants from local nonprofits joined the run at reduced or no cost.
The race was part of the foundation’s commitment to aid communities impacted by the Eaton and Palisades wildfires. When the fires devastated entire communities in January, LADF stepped in, saying, “As we face this challenge together the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation remains steadfast in its vision to ensure that every Angeleno has the opportunity to thrive.”
Proceeds from the Sunset Run are earmarked for wildfire relief and recovery, focusing specifically on food insecurity.
