On the 30th, Lotte announced that the members of Chiba Lotte Marines Junior Team who will participate in the “NPB Junior Tournament KONAMI CUP 2025” have been decided.

Recruitment for The Marines Junior 2025 members was conducted on the team’s official website from June 23rd to July 6th, with approximately 800 applicants, and 16 players were selected after a selection process. The manager of The Marines Junior 2025 will be Hiroyuki Kobayashi (former club member and The Marines Baseball Academy technical coach), who will be returning for the first time in two years since 2023, and the coaches will be Yusuke Kurita (same technical coach) and Naoto Ogawa (same technical coach).

The NPB 12 Teams Junior Tournament was established in 2005 in collaboration between the Nippon Professional baseball Organization (NPB) and the 12 professional baseball teams with the aim of “making it easier for children to achieve the dream of playing professional baseball,” and this year marks the 21st time it has been held.

The tournament will be held at Kufu HAYATE Ventures Shizuoka from Friday, December 26th to Monday, December 29th, and will feature a total of 16 teams, including the 12 NPB teams, as well as four junior teams from the farm baseball teams Oisix Niigata Albirex Meiji Jingu Stadium Yokohama Stadium.
