CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Connor Joe, a versatile outfielder and infielder, has chosen to enter free agency following a disappointing season with the Cincinnati Reds.
Acquired in May after Tyler Callihan’s injury, the 33-year-old Joe struggled to make an impact, posting a .213/.286/.279 line over 35 games, with just four extra-base hits.
The Reds designated Joe for assignment in August, and no team picked him up, suggesting limited interest.
Joe is a former first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates and played for the Colorado Rockies, San Francisco Giants, and San Diego Padres in his six-year MLB career.
