Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker will not return as skipper next season, the team announced Wednesday.
The 69-year-old Snitker told the organization that he will not be back in the role in 2026 but will remain with the club as a senior advisor. It was also announced that Snitker will be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame before a game next season.

Snitker was hired as interim manager early in the 2016 season, and the Braves soon began to trend upward. Over his first three full seasons, the team’s win total improved. Then the franchise won the 2021 World Series title as a wild card, and the Braves won 100-plus games in 2022 and ’23.
During Snitker’s run, he was a four-time NL Manager of the Year finalist and winner of the award in 2018. The Braves made the playoffs seven times and won six consecutive NL East titles.
Snitker ends his time as Braves manager with a record of 811-668, good for the third-most victories in franchise history. In all of MLB, only Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has won more games since Snitker was brought in to replace Fredi González.

The Braves’ seven-year playoff streak ended this year, as the team recorded its lowest win total (76) in a full season under Snitker since 2017.
