Milwaukee Brewers fans have been hurt before.
The team lost in the wild-card round in the past two seasons, including a particularly stinging defeat to the New York Mets last season.
But there has never been a Brewers team like the 2025 version, which steamrolled to a franchise-record 98 wins and clinched the top overall seed in the playoffs.
