MILWAUKEE — Playoff baseball is underway and the Milwaukee Brewers are getting “October Ready” at American Family Field.
The team hosted a workout Tuesday ahead the National League Division Series.
“Now we’ve got to ramp it up again and ramping it up is a little bit uncomfortable, competitive, but it’s still not going to mirror a real game,” said Brewers manager Pat Murphy. “You can pipe in the music, bring fans in, but it’s not a real game.”
Even after clinching the central divison and the number one seed in the National League, Murphy said there are still people that doubt this team.
“The same thing goes into postseason. We’re in a similar spot. There’s nobody on television saying, hey, the Brewers are the odds on favorite. Matter of fact, I saw that we were not even in the top five. Perfect,” said Murphy.
The Crew will face the winner of the Cubs and Padres series. Game one of the NLDS is Saturday at American Family Field.
