Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle has reported that the Giants will be calling up top prospect Eldridge. This comes as a surprise after San Francisco didn’t seem like they had interest in promoting him this season.
During the 2025 minor league baseball season, Eldridge played for the Richmond Flying Squirrels in Double-A and the Sacramento River Cats in Triple-A. In 102 games in the minor leagues this season, Eldridge has a .260 batting average with 25 home runs and 84 RBIs, along with one stolen base and one caught stolen base. His on-base percentage was .333.

With him getting this promotion, he will be in a playoff race with the Giants right away. It is going to be interesting to see where Eldridge gets inserted into the lineup on Monday night against the Diamondbacks. Eldridge is only 20 years old, and he has a promising future ahead of him at the MLB level.
