SEATTLE — Fans anxiously pulled out of work and altered their plans to watch Game 3, which was delayed by rain in Detroit.

In perhaps a bit of irony, Mariners fans Andrea Sharrow, Cecelia Nelson, and Tanya Shah sat outside at a restaurant on 1st Avenue, enjoying the 70-degree Seattle weather while talking about a rain delay.

“October baseball doesn’t happen in Seattle very often,” joked Shah. “It’s probably anything better we could be doing.”

“I actually think we should probably give doctors notes until like end of November,” added Sherrow. “Maybe everyone should be able to skip work early Christmas present.”
