The Milwaukee Brewers‘ first-inning pitching struggles against the Chicago Cubs continued into Game 3 of their National League Division Series.

But unlike the first two games, the Brewers didn’t have a rousing come back in them like they did in the victories in Games 1 and 2 in Milwaukee, losing, 4-3, on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Wrigley Field to drop their first game in the series.

Now, a Game 4 is needed in the best-of-five series.

With the Brewers still ahead 2-1 in the series, they’ll look to close it out at Wrigley Field on Thursday, Oct. 9, to avoid a winner-take-all Game 5 in Milwaukee.

Here’s what to know about the Brewers’ next game in the series and playoff schedule:

Brewers vs Cubs highlights

Here are scenes from Game 3 at Wrigley Field in which the Brewers lost 4-3.

Milwaukee took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first but the Cubs erupted for four in the bottom half of the first inning and chased starter Quinn Priester after just 2/3 of an inning. The Brewers bullpen kept the Cubs off the scoreboard the rest of the way and the Brewers chipped away to stay within striking distance.

But they blew a golden opportunity in the eighth inning when they failed to score despite a leadoff double by Jackson Chourio. Jake Bauers, who hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to cut the deficit to 4-3, struck out with the bases loaded to end the frame.
