Cameron and Wister’s baseball teams lost their Class A fall ball state quarterfinals on Thursday at Shawnee High School, both by close margins.
Cameron (17-8, ranked sixth) trailed 5-0 by the third inning before getting within a run with a four-run sixth. Tristin Hagen led off the sixth with a home run.Â
Jaxon Adcock hit 2-for-4 with an RBI. Andy Moorehead hit 2-for-3 with a walk.Â
The Wildcats (16-12, ranked ninth) stayed even with the Trojans (29-7, ranked second) in the first four innings before Canute got a two-out, two-run double in the fifth. Jayden Byars hit an RBI double in the sixth, but Wister was unable to muster any more hits.
