The Seattle Mariners have surprised everyone by becoming one of the best teams in the league. Currently, they’re playing against the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS as they aim to win their first pennant in franchise history and make their first ever World Series appearance. Their late season surge and outlasting their division rivals, the Houston Astros, for the American League West crown. In case you’ve been living under a rock, the Mariners won the AL West title for the first time since 2001. They have greatly turned things around under manager Dan Wilson. Since the firing of Scott Servais, Wilson, who was a Mariners catcher and was part of the 2001 team that clinched the AL West title, deserves all the credit for getting this team to where they are today. Now, the Mariners have a chance to win the AL Pennant and make their first World Series appearance. Their last playoff appearance was back in the 2022 ALDS, where they were swept. I love a good underdog story, and the Mariners are an example of that.

So, why do I believe the Mariners will win the World Series? They’re a tight-knight group who is competitive and ready for anything. The biggest name from the Mariners is none other than Cal Raleigh. The AL MVP candidate has had a stellar record-breaking season, and the league has since taken notice. He and Aaron Judge are vying for the aforementioned award, but my money is on Raleigh. I would love to see the Mariners have the kind of Cinderella story like my beloved Texas Rangers did back in 2023. Seattle is just a few teams that have never won a World Series title. They have a golden opportunity to do just that, but they would have to get past the red-hot Blue Jays in the ALCS. I equally love both teams and they’re vying to win the pennant and head to the World Series. However, as I’ve said earlier, I love rooting for the underdog. So, my pick is that the Mariners win in six games and secure their first AL Pennant. As for my pick for ALCS MVP it would be either Cal Raleigh or Josh Naylor. I have a good feeling about this team, and it would be a waste of an excellent season for them to fail now. Them winning a World Series title would be a huge deal for the team and for the City of Seattle. When your team wins a World Series title for the very first time, a parade is held, gold-inspired gear being on sale, and of course, seeing the team wearing such gold-inspired gear with a patch on their jerseys displaying that they’re World Series Champions and also receiving their World Series rings. For whom I want the Mariners to face in the World Series, I would say the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brew Crew will face the defending World Series champion Dodgers in the NLCS. A Mariners-Brewers World Series matchup would be epic and exciting to see. Honestly, we’d like to see someone new in the Fall Classic. If this matchup were to become reality, my pick would be the Mariners in six games and Josh Naylor would be my choice for World Series MVP. A majority of baseball fans would like to see the Brewers and Mariners go head-to-head in the World Series. The Brewers are also vying for their first World Series title, so it would be a battle of firsts. The Postseason can be unpredictable, so anything can happen. All we can do is wait to see which two teams will head to the World Series.
