Manager Dave Roberts had a message for the team’s critics following the Dodgers’ Game 4 win over the Brewers.
“Before the season started, they said, ‘The Dodgers are ruining baseball,’” Roberts said. “Let’s get four more wins and really ruin baseball.”

The Dodgers are now four wins away from winning their second straight World Series title. LA’s sweep over the Brewers was highlighted by a dominant performance from Shohei Ohtani.
The Dodgers two-way star tossed six scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts and also hit three home runs to help the defending champions punch their ticket to the Fall Classic. Ohtani became the first pitcher in MLB history to hit a leadoff home run in the regular season or postseason.
It was an epic night for Ohtani, who had previously struggled in the postseason averaging .103 with no home runs and striking out 48 percent of the time. Friday was Ohtani’s redemption game as he orchestrated arguably the most dominant postseason performance of all-time.
“Whatever you don’t expect, expect him to do it. I had a pretty good seat to a lot of those moments,” Roberts said of Ohtani.
The Dodgers don’t yet know who they will play in the Fall Classic, as the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays face off on Sunday in Game 6 of the ALCS.
