SEATTLE — The Mariners now know who they will play when the team takes the field at T-Mobile Park on Saturday: the Detroit Tigers.
The Tigers defeated the Cleveland Guardians 6-3 in the third game of the American League Wild Card Series to advance to the ALDS.
The first two games will be in Seattle on Saturday and Sunday. Game 3 will be at Comerica Park in Detroit on Tuesday.
If necessary, Game 4 would also be in Detroit on Wednesday, and Game 5 would be back in Seattle on Oct. 10.
The ALDS schedule is as follows:
Game 1: 5:38 p.m. in SeattleGame 2: 5:03 p.m. in SeattleGame 3: 1:08 p.m. in DetroitGame 4: 12:08/4:08 p.m. in Detroit*Game 5: 1:40/5:08 p.m. in Detroit**Games 4 and 5 will only be played if necessary

The Mariners won the season series against the Tigers, winning four of the six games.
The Mariners played especially well against Tigers ace and reigning Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal.
Skubal allowed 10 hits, seven earned runs, five walks, and two home runs in 10.2 innings against Seattle.
The Tigers won their opening series after a record meltdown to lose control of the AL Central division to the Guardians.
It is the second straight season the Tigers have won a Wild Card Series on the road.
