It’s a pivotal offseason for the Phillies that lies ahead. They need to make at least some changes to their roster in the hopes they can get past the Dodgers and the other teams in the National League to play in a World Series. The options in front of them are difficult, yet varied. They can go in a few different directions to make their team better, yet what path they choose will be a mystery for quite a while.
Yet that doesn’t mean we can’t ask the question: what is the one you move you want the team to make this coming offseason?
Is there a big free agent signing they need to make? Is there a trade that they need to work on? One of the obstacles, of course, is not knowing some of the finer details. What’s the budget for the season going to be? How do they want to prioritize different positions on the roster? Is there someone they feel like they have to move on from, no matter the cost? Lots of moving parts happening around the team.
