Bucks’ Doc Rivers on Khris Middleton’s return: ‘He’s a Buck for life’

Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers wants to ensure a warm welcome for Khris Middleton after all he did for the team and community.

The Milwaukee Bucks were in the crowd supporting the Milwaukee Brewers during the National League Division Series’ do-or-die Game 5 earlier this month — and now Pat Murphy has returned the favor.

The Brewers manager, along with his family, attended the Bucks home opener at Fiserv Forum on Oct. 22.

During the game, Brewers highlights played on the jumbotron inside the arena, shouting out the 2024 National League manager of the year and his team, whose postseason journey recently came to an end.

After the montage, Murphy and his sons were shown on the screen and Bango presented them with a baseball helmet filled with what’s become known as the skipper’s signature snack. You guessed it, pocket pancakes. Murph took a bite of one on camera.

During the electric Game 5 finale of the Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs NLDS, Bucks center Myles Turner took over MLB’s Instagram Story from inside American Family Field.

“What’s up, y’all? Myles Turner and the Milwaukee Bucks, man,” he said, showing his teammates. “We’re checking in, we’re checking in.”

“Ain’t nothing like baseball in October, baby!” Turner said in the video clip. “Let’s go Brewers.”

The Crew would beat the Cubs in that game, clinching the NLDS. In the NL Championship Series, Milwaukee’s World Series dreams were devastated, getting swept in four games by the star-studded Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Bucks opened their 2025-26 season with a 133-120 victory over the Washington Wizards Wednesday night.
