Experience
After spending 12 seasons in professional baseball, Mark began a sports media career in 1994. He was an on-air host at AM 850 KOA radio from 1994-1996 and did also did color commentary on selected Colorado Rockies games on KOA. Co-host of The Knudson and Tatum Show on AM 950 ‘The Fan’ (2001- 2002) – Selected by Boulder Daily Camera as “Best Sports Talk Show Host in Denver market for 2001.”
Mark has been a feature writer/Contributing Editor for Mile High Sports Magazine and on-air host for Mile High Sports TV and Mile High Sports Radio, 2003-2007. Studio Analyst on “FSN Live” and Colorado Rockies TV coverage on Fox Sports Net in 2008. He was a studio ‘baseball analyst’ for ‘The Mtn,’ the Mountain West Conference Sports Network and columnist on The Mtn website. He was the Station Manager of AM 1580 ESPN Radio in Colorado Springs, a columnist/on-air host for Mile High Sports Radio and TV. He was also contributor to Colorado Rockies Magazine. From 2016- 2020 Mark was a talk show host on Mile High Sports Radio and ESPN Denver.
2025 will be Mark’s 27th season as one of Colorado region’s Heisman Trophy voters.
Mark has published two books. He is the co-author with former Milwaukee Brewers teammate Don August of “Pitching to the Corners” and author of a historical fiction book about The Beatles titled, “Just Imagine.”
Mark is currently a feature writer and columnist for Mile High Sports Magazine and www.Mile High Sports.com, and Podcast co-host for BLEAV Podcast Network, and has recently joined the team as a contributor to www.Heavy.com.
Education
Mark is a graduate of Northglenn (CO) High School, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University in 1983. He is currently the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Prospect Ridge Academy High School in Broomfield, Colorado.
