Watch Marty Brennaman react at unveiling of his statue at GABP
Watch as retired Cincinnati Reds broadcaster Marty Brennaman is recognized for his decades in the booth with a statue at Great American Ball Park.
The Marty Brennaman statue installed on Sept. 6, 2025 on the north side of Crosley Terrace outside Great American Ball Park was damaged, with most of the microphone now missing.
The Reds are looking into the situation.
When asked about the statue’s damages and if there were security cameras in the area, a spokesperson with the Reds did not share any information.
The Enquirer has requested the police report on the Brennaman statue’s damage but has not yet received it.
More about the beloved Reds sportscaster and his bronze twin
The “Voice of the Reds” joined eight Reds legends with a bronze likeness outside GABP.
In 2019, Brennaman signed off for the final time after 46 years as the radio voice of the Reds.
In May, Brennaman sounded off about baseball commissioner Rob Manfred’s removal of Pete Rose from its permanently ineligible list during an on-field interview with Fanduel Sports Network’s Jim Day on Pete Rose Night before the Reds’ game against the Chicago White Sox.
