Last night I was fortunate to attend Game 3 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium here in Los Angeles. I was in good company — alongside fellow fans like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, clad in Dodger blue duds. No big deal.
Along with a few other journalists, I was a guest of Booking.com — a major perk of my role as a travel writer. And while I didn’t pay for my own ticket, I still managed to do plenty of damage at the ballpark.
I hadn’t owned any Dodgers gear, so I showed up in a plain white tank top and splurged on a Nike Ohtani jersey at the stadium so I could put it right on. The price was astronomical — marked up beyond my wildest imagination. (And I hope my mom never reads this, because she didn’t raise a fool). I actually can’t explain how I let myself fall for the sucker price, except to say I got swept up in a national championship moment in a stadium filled with electric energy.

Anyway, next time I hit a Dodger game, I’ll be more prepared to represent the team in style… because I’ll be wearing this investment jersey until I die, and then passing it down to my children and their children. In fact, I’ll be happy to rock my new gear and show off my team spirit around town (plus work on edging my cost-per-wear down) any time of year — baseball season or off. Want to show your support too without breaking the bank? Grab these spirit items at budget-friendlier pieces now and thank me later. (And let’s go, Dodgers!)
