Josh Elander has filled out his Tennessee baseball staff within a week of being appointed the head coach.

The Vols coach had one spot to fill after he was hired on Oct. 25 to take over following Tony Vitello’s exit to manage the San Francisco Giants.

Here are the coaches on Elander’s staff:

Chuck Jeroloman, associate head coach

Elander hired Chuck Jeroloman from Florida to be the associate head coach. Jeroloman is a well-known recruiter and a top hitting coach.

Jeroloman has spent the past six seasons at Florida and was most recently serving as the interim head coach with coach Kevin O’Sullivan on administrative leave due to personal matters. He spent two seasons as an assistant coach at South Florida and four at Jacksonville before he was hired at Florida. 

Jeroloman and Elander have a longstanding relationships as Jeroloman was a volunteer assistant coach at TCU in 2012, Elander’s junior season with the Horned Frogs.

Frank Anderson, pitching coach

Frank Anderson is a legendary pitching coach in college baseball and Tennessee has had some of the nation’s best pitching staffs under his leadership.

Anderson boasts more than 40 years in college baseball, including the past eight years at Tennessee. He has coach 25 MLB Draft picks at UT, including four first-rounders. He had two first-round pickers in 2025 in Liam Doyle and Marcus Phillips. Chase Dollander (2023) and Garrett Crochet (2020) were also first-rounders.

A program-record six pitchers were picked in the 2023 MLB Draft.

Ross Kivett, recruiting coodinator

Ross Kivett is an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator. He has played a huge role in roster management at Tennessee in the past two years.

The Cleveland native is in his second stint at Tennessee. He rejoined UT following the 2024 season as an assistant coach after three seasons at Houston, where he ascended to the associate head coach position.

Kivett spent four years at Tennessee as the volunteer assistant coach from 2017-19.
