Congratulations to the Los Angeles Dodgers but for the rest of Major League Baseball, 2026 can’t come soon enough.

Spring training is months away, but it’s never too early to look ahead at who’s expected to contend next season.

The two-time defending champion Dodgers are the favorites for 2026 at +350, according to FanDuel’s odds, according to FanDuel’s odds. They enter 2026 seeking to become the first three-peat MLB champion since the 1998-2000 New York Yankees.

For the Texas Rangers, coming off a disappointing 81-81 season, expectations are more modest. Texas has the 19th-best odds (+4000) to win the 2026 World Series. Rangers fans will be hoping new manager Skip Schumaker can outperform those odds and take Texas back to the postseason for the first time since they lifted the Commissioner’s Trophy in 2023.

The sportsbook is expecting a difficult path for the Rangers, giving the AL West rival Seattle Mariners and Houston Astros far better odds to win the World Series. Seattle at +1200 has the second-best odds in the AL and fifth-best overall with Houston just behind at +1300.
