Celebrate the Cubs trio win Gold Glove Awards! Nico Hoerner, Ian Happ, and Pete Crow-Armstrong shine in defense.
On Sunday night, Rawlings announced their 2025 Gold Glove Award winners, and to no surprise, three Chicago Cubs earned the prestigious award.
Nico Hoerner, Ian Happ, and Pete Crow-Armstrong were all among the names to earn the prestigious award given out to the game’s best fielders.
The Cubs locked down one of the best defenses in all of baseball last year, which is why so many Cubs were named finalists for the end-of-the-season Gold Glove Awards, including Carson Kelly, Matthew Boyd, and Matt Shaw as well.

For Happ, earning the award was all too familiar. Over the last several seasons, he has proven to be a consistent and lockdown defender in left field, and for the fourth consecutive year, he took home the honor.
Hoerner’s second Gold Glove Award came to no surprise as well. Moving to second base after the Cubs acquired Dansby Swanson a few seasons ago, Nico has shown that his defense has continued to improve even further since the switch.
Crow-Armstrong was as much of a sure thing in center field as a sure thing could be in 2025. His impressive display of defense, matched with his deer-like speed in centerfield all season long, makes PCA a worthy Gold Glove Award finalist for the next decade.
The Platinum Award winners will be announced on November 7th. Fans can vote on the winner via Rawlings.com until November 5th.
Congratulations to Happ, Hoerner, and PCA on their awards. Â
