The 35-year-old posted a 1.76 ERA in 30.1 IP in the second half of 2025 and was August’s Reliever of the Month. He’s expected to seek a two-year deal.

The market for closers is far from bare this offseason, featuring names like Edwin DÃaz, Robert Suárez, Devin Williams, Raisel Iglesias, and Ryan Helsley.
The Braves could look to upgrade from Iglesias, but the difference in price compared to production likely isn’t worth the trade-off. Soon to be 36 years old, Iglesias is expected to seek a deal in the two-year range worth somewhere between $20–30 million. For a closer who’s posted a 2.35 ERA over 166 appearances in Atlanta with 97 saves, that should be viewed as a bargain.
Meanwhile, Devin Williams could command north of $70 million, and DÃaz will likely receive a nine-figure contract. Both are younger and more attractive long-term options, but with so many other holes to fill, the Braves may prefer the more affordable route. Iglesias has been rock solid since arriving in Atlanta — not only in performance, but as a respected presence in the clubhouse as well.
