KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Royals exercised their 2026 option to have their games broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network, the team announced on Wednesday.
The team stated that, like last year, streamers throughout the Royals territory will also be able to watch the Royals through Amazon Prime Video as an add-on subscription.
The FanDuel Sports Network app is available on iOS, Android, smart TVs, connected devices and Amazon Prime Video.
“There is nothing more important to us than connecting with and making our games available to our great fans,” said Royals chairman and CEO John Sherman. “Our viewership is growing and continues to rank among the best in baseball both through linear cable and streaming, and we look forward to continuing that strong momentum through our ownership group’s investment and the exciting team J.J. Picollo and his staff are building.”
Royals games ranked No. 1 in primetime in the Kansas City area in the 2025 season and top 10 in Major League Baseball in household rating. Total average minute audience, total unique streamers and total minutes streamed were all up double digits, the Royals stated.
“We’re excited to continue our partnership with the Royals,” said Sarah Tourville, executive vice president of team partnerships for FanDuel Sports Network. “Our multi-platform strategy drove strong viewership growth last season, and we look forward to working together to expand their audience reach and drive fan engagement.”
