Watch the Brewers clubhouse celebration after clinching the NLDS

Watch the Brewers clubhouse celebration after clinching the NLDS on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at American Family Field in Milwaukee.

Catcher Jeferson Quero, one of the top prospects in the Milwaukee Brewers organization and a player nearly guaranteed to make his big-league debut in 2026, hit his fourth homer of Venezuelan Winter League action Nov. 4, the latest in a torrid showing for the 23-year-old.

In addition to four homers, Quero has three doubles and a 1.120 OPS in 41 plate appearances. The native Venezuelan, who turned 23 in October, had a .748 OPS this season in 250 plate appearances at Class AAA Nashville, his first year back after shoulder surgery cost him all of the 2024 season.

As a member of the Brewers’ 40-man roster, Quero is logically on track to begin the season as William Contreras’ backup, and he spent time with the big-league team as a member of the taxi squad in the final stages of the regular season and the playoffs.

Quero began his time with Cardenales de Lara on Oct. 25, when he belted a three-run, walk-off home run.

The Venezuelan Winter League, or LVBP, features eight teams playing between 50 and 60 games before their playoffs, with the winner advancing to the Caribbean World Series.

Though the rise of Jesús Made and Luis Peña has been the primary headline in the Brewers minor-league organization in 2025, Quero is regarded as the No. 4 prospect in the organization by MLB Pipeline and Fangraphs, and a top-100 prospect in all of baseball at both sites.
