SPOKANE, Wash. — Colorado Rockies first-round draft pick Charlie Condon has been called up to the Spokane Indians once again.
Condon, the third overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft and the No. 2 prospect in Colorado’s organization, returns to the Lilac City after starting the 2025 season at the rookie level with the ACL Rockies on a rehab assignment.
The 6-foot-6, 216-pound outfielder/third baseman suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left wrist during spring training in March, which landed him on Spokane’s 7-day injured list. He began his rehab assignment with the ACL Rockies in early May.
In nine games with the ACL Rockies this season, Condon hit .296 with a .345 on-base percentage and a .407 slugging percentage. He totaled eight hits, two runs, three RBIs, two doubles, 11 total bases and 10 strikeouts in 27 at-bats.
Condon played a key role in Spokane’s Northwest League championship run last season, helping the Indians capture their first title since 2008. In 25 games with Spokane last year, he hit .180 with a .518 OPS, recording one home run, one triple, four doubles and 11 RBIs while striking out 34 times in 100 at-bats.
Last season, he tied Dick Schofield (’82) as the highest drafted player to ever suit up for the Indians.
The Rockies signed Condon last July to a record-breaking contract that included a $9.25 million signing bonus.
Before turning pro, Condon played three seasons at Georgia, where he began as a walk-on. Following a standout 2024 campaign, he collected a haul of awards, including the Golden Spikes Award, Dick Howser Trophy and Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Award, along with multiple Player of the Year and All-America honors.
While Condon has officially been added to Spokane’s roster, it’s unclear when he’ll make his season debut. The Indians open a six-game homestand against the Tri-City Dust Devils on Tuesday.
