Cal Raleigh’s historic 2025 season has earned its most unsurprising honor. The Mariners backstop won the American League Silver Slugger award for the catcher position. Raleigh’s possible MVP season was assured this title a full month before the season’s conclusion, but the confirmation officially enters Raleigh into fresh tiers of Mariners history. He becomes the 8th Seattle Mariners player to win a Silver Slugger, following Ken Griffey Jr. (7), Edgar Martinez (5), Alex Rodriguez (4), Ichiro Suzuki (3), Bret Boone (2), Nelson Cruz, and Julio Rodríguez.
