The Royals had four finalists for Silver Slugger Awards, including catcher Salvador Perez, first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino and Maikel Garcia, who was a finalist for the Silver Slugger Utility Award. The Royals were one of three American League teams with four finalists, along with the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays.
Earlier this week, Witt Jr. was named a Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner for the second straight season. He is the fifth shortstop to win both a Silver Slugger and Gold Glove Award in consecutive seasons.
Witt Jr. led the Majors in hits (184) for the second consecutive season, becoming the first player to accomplish that feat (excluding 2020) since Whit Merrifield did so for the Royals from 2018-19. Witt Jr. also led the Majors with 47 doubles in 2025.
