ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The Atlanta Braves on Friday announced two more additions to their coaching staff for the 2026 season.
Atlanta brought on Tony Mansolino to be their third base coach and J.P Martinez to serve as bullpen coach.
The additions come two days after Atlanta swiped pitching coach Jeremy Hefner and now-first base coach Antoan Richardson from the New York Mets.

Atlanta’s bench coach job is the only opening that remains on manager Walt Weiss’ staff.
Mansolino, 43, will take over for Fredi Gonzalez, whose departure from the staff was reported earlier in the week.
He joins Atlanta after serving as interim manager for the Baltimore Orioles this past season, guiding the team to a 60-59 record after getting appointed on May 17. Previously, Mansolino spent more than four seasons as Baltimore’s third base coach and held various roles in Cleveland’s organization from 2011-20.
Martinez, 43, served as San Francisco’s pitching coach last season, leading the Giants’ bullpen to the third-best ERA (3.44) in all of baseball. He held the role of assistant pitching coach with the Giants from 2021-24 as an assistant pitching coach.
