Tennessee baseball was scheduled to hold its annual Orange & White Fall World Series game on Sunday at Covenant Health Park. Sunday’s contest is canceled.

Covenant Health Park opened in April and is home to the Knoxville Smokies, a Double-A affiliate of the Cubs.

“Tomorrow’s game has been canceled due to impending weather and freezing temperatures, which could pose a risk to the field conversion and players safety ahead of One Knox’s upcoming championship game,” the Smokies announced on Saturday. “All tickets purchased from Ticketmaster will be refunded automatically.”

First pitch was scheduled for 5 p.m. EST with gates slated to open at 3:30 p.m. EST.

The 2026 campaign will be the first for the Vols without head coach Tony Vitello since 2017. He accepted a manager position with San Francisco in MLB on Wednesday. Josh Elander was named Tennessee’s head coach on Oct. 25.
