ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Tampa Bay Rays fans have a chance to meet the team’s new leadership at popular St. Pete spot Ferg’s Sports Bar and Grill.
Ferg’s founder, Mark Ferguson, will join the new Rays leaders for a meet and greet at the bar from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Who are the Tampa Bay Rays’ new owners?
Patrick Zalupski, Bill Cosgrove and Ken Babby became the new Rays leadership team following a sale in late September.
Zalupski is the founder and CEO of Jacksonville-based home builder, Dream Finders Homes Inc. He serves as the Rays’ managing partner and co-chair.Â
Cosgrove, CEO of Ohio-based Union Home Mortgage, serves as co-chair of the team, while Babby, founder and CEO of Fast Forward Sports Group, is the Rays CEO.
The new ownership group also includes Dan Doyle Jr., Doug Hertz, Matt Silverman, Robert Skinner, Will Weatherford and Rick Workman, who will be part of an executive advisory board that will include Fred Ridley as an independent member. Silverman has been with the Rays for 22 years, including 17 as team president.
Erik Neander, in his 19th season with the Rays, is continuing his role as president of baseball operations.
