  • November 14, 2025

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Bobby Witt Jr. continues to add to his growing list of accolades.

Major League Baseball announced that the star Kansas City Royals shortstop was named First Team All-MLB for a second consecutive season.

Witt Jr., 25, led all of baseball with 184 hits, a second consecutive season accomplishing that feat. He became the first player to do so since Whit Merrifield, also of the Royals, was tops in hits from 2018-19.

Witt Jr. also led the majors with 47 doubles last season.

Defensively, Bobby Witt Jr. tied for the major league lead among all players in 2025 with 24 Outs Above Average, according to Baseball Savant. The shortstop started 153 games at the position and made just 10 errors.
