Shawn Sullivan has committed to Tennessee baseball, joining the 2026 class as a top-100 prospect by picking the Vols over Arkansas.
Sullivan is the No. 65 prospect in the nation and the second-ranked player in Ohio, according to Perfect Game. The former Alabama commit is the No. 10 right-handed pitcher nationally. The Walsh Jesuit (Ohio) standout visited Tennessee from Nov. 7-9 before announcing his commitment on Nov. 15 on Instagram.
He is the sixth top-65 commitment in UT’s 2026 class.
When he signs, Sullivan will be the 15th player to join UT’s 2026 class. Tennessee signed 14 players when the signing period opened on Nov. 12.
Shortstop Cole Koeninger (Keller, Texas) headlines the class as a top-10 prospect for coach Josh Elander. Koeninger is the No. 8 prospect. The Vols also signed top-50 recruits in Georgia outfielder Trevor Condon (No. 27), California first baseman AJ Curry (No. 34), Indiana catcher Sean Dunlap (No. 41) and Alabama shortstop Jaxson Wood (No. 47).
Perfect Game ranks Tennessee’s class No. 4 in the nation, which would be UT’s third straight top-five class and fifth straight top-10 class. The Vols signed the No. 1 class in 2024 and 2025 after signing the No. 6 class in both 2022 and 2023. The 2026 rankings include all 17 players who have committed, including pitchers Gary Morse and Cooper Shrum and infield Landon Thome.
Morse and Shrum are not likely to sign in November as clients of Boras Corp. Thome’s status is in flux following Vitello’s departure.
