On the 19th, Seibu announced that the team had submitted an application through the Nippon baseball Organization (NPB) regarding pitcher Tatsuya Imai ‘s transfer to MLB via the posting system, and that notification had been sent to all MLB teams.
The negotiation deadline was announced as being from 8:00 a.m. on January 19, 2025 (10:00 p.m. on January 19, Japan time) to 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026 (7:00 a.m. on January 3, Japan time).
