NEW YORK (November 19, 2025) Major League Baseball has unveiled plans for two highly anticipated special regular-season games in August 2026: the Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and the return to the Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville, Iowa.
Little League Classic: Brewers vs. Braves
The Milwaukee Brewers and the Atlanta Braves will play in the 2026 MLB Little League Classic presented by New York Life on Sunday, August 23rd, at Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, PA.
Earlier in the day, Major Leaguers from both teams will attend Little League World Series games to engage with young players.
The game will air exclusively on ESPN and ESPN Radio at 7:10 p.m. (ET) / 6:10 p.m. (CT). It will also be available on the ESPN App and ESPN Deportes.
Little League World Series players and their families will fill the stands for the game, with the Brewers serving as the home team.
The Little League Classic was launched in 2017 and has since featured teams like the Yankees, Mets, Phillies, and Red Sox, demonstrating MLB’s commitment to growing the game at the youth level.
Field of Dreams: Twins vs. Phillies
MLB is also set to return to Iowa for the third edition of “MLB at Field of Dreams,” featuring the Minnesota Twins hosting the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
As part of a new partnership, Netflix will bring the event to fans across the globe live from the Dyersville site. MLB Network’s production team will partner with Netflix’s team for the broadcast.
The game follows the two wildly successful inaugural events in 2021 (White Sox vs. Yankees) and 2022 (Reds vs. Cubs). The 2021 game was named “Sports Event of the Year” by Sports Business Journal. A Minor League Baseball game will precede the main event, with the Triple-A Iowa Cubs hosting the St. Paul Saints on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
Commissioner Robert D. Manfred, Jr. expressed excitement about returning to Iowa and working with Netflix, stating the event will deliver a “unique experience” to the teams and fans. Twins Executive Chair Joe Pohlad called it a “true celebration of our sport,” while Phillies CEO John Middleton remarked it will be an experience their players will “never forget.”
This event continues MLB’s initiative, which began in 2016, to stage regular-season games in unique domestic locations outside of direct Major League markets, including previous stops at Fort Bragg, Omaha, Rickwood Field, and Bristol Motor Speedway.
