Major League Baseball on Wednesday announced a new three-year television rights deal with ESPN, NBC and Netflix.

Phillies fans in the local viewing area will still find most games on the regional network NBC Sports Philadelphia, but some nationally televised games will be on different networks starting next year.

Here are some highlights from the announcement:

Sunday Night Baseball is moving from ESPN to NBC/Peacock. NBC will broadcast its first MLB game since 2000 on March 26, 2026, when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Arizona Diamondbacks in an exclusive primetime game. Once football season begins in September, Sunday Night Baseball will stream on Peacock and be available on linear TV on the newly revived NBC Sports Network.

The Wild Card round is also moving from ESPN to NBC/Peacock/NBCSN. In 2026, the National League Division and Championship Series will air on FOX/FS1. FOX and TBS will continue to broadcast the remainder of the MLB postseason through at least 2028.

Netflix will exclusively stream the 2026 Home Run Derby at Citizens Bank Park on July 13. ESPN previously held the broadcasting rights to the Home Run Derby. FOX will continue to broadcast the All-Star Game.

Netflix will also stream the 2026 Field of Dreams game between the Minnesota Twins and Phillies in Dyersville, Iowa on Aug. 13. MLB is returning to the site for the first time since 2022. FOX previously held the broadcasting rights to this game.

This is a big change for out-of-market Phillies fans who watch games on MLB.TV. As part of the new deal, ESPN has acquired the rights to distribute out-of-market games for all 30 teams. Fans will still be able to subscribe to MLB.TV on the MLB app in 2026, but the package shifts over exclusively to the ESPN app beginning in 2027.

T-Mobile customers will continue to receive free access to MLB.TV.

The Apple TV+ games are not going away. The streaming service will still have exclusive rights to at least one Friday night MLB regular season game a week.

The Sunday morning exclusive games will shift from Roku back to Peacock. Those games will also air on linear TV on NBCSN.

ESPN will also carry 30 exclusive MLB weeknight games. One of those games is July 16 between the Phillies and New York Mets at Citizens Bank Park. This is the first MLB game after the All-Star break.

All MLB games on Sunday, July 5 will air exclusively on Peacock. The Phillies play the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium at 2:05 p.m. ET that day.

The All-Star Futures Game from Citizens Bank Park on Sunday, July 12 will air on NBC and Peacock.
