Spencer Strider made his return on Tuesday as the Atlanta Braves fell to the Washington Nationals 5-3. It was Strider’s first start since April 16, where he went down with a hamstring injury.
He surrendered three runs to the Nats in the first inning, but fortunately, the Atlanta offense picked him up and tied the ballgame in the second. The bats couldn’t keep up, though, and Strider finished his night after 4.1 innings, giving up four runs, walking one, and striking out three.
