The Milwaukee Brewers sported the top record in all of baseball in 2025 with one of the best all-around rosters in baseball. Milwaukee is the best at maximizing the potential of its players.

They played great defense, had a nice mix of speed and power, and overall knew how to win games. There has never been a question about the Brewers’ pitching. They take any pitcher and turn their career around.

The Brewers lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series 4-0. A disappointing end with not winning one game in the series yet owning the home-field advantage.

The Brewers will need to find some more magic and a bag of tricks if they look to get past the Dodgers and make a World Series. The Brewers are not one of the perennial top spenders in baseball, yet they are always one of the top teams.

The Brewers will need to find some more diamonds in the rough this season and continue to build on what is one of their strengths, their starting pitching. That is why the Milwaukee Brewers will sign Alek Manoah this offseason.

Alek Manoah To Sign With Milwaukee Brewers

In 2025, Alek Manoah completed his rehab from Tommy John surgery. He pitched a few games with the Blue Jays’ Triple-A team. He was then designated for assignment and picked up by the Atlanta Braves. The Braves then non-tendered Manoah, making him a free agent to sign with anyone heading into 2026.

Manoah is an absolute conundrum of a baseball player. In just his second season in the big leagues with the Toronto Blue Jays, he established himself as one of the best pitchers in baseball.

Starting 31 games, with a 16-7 record and 2.24 ERA in over 196.2 innings. Manoah would be named an All-Star, finished third in the American League Cy Young voting, and garnered some MVP votes as well.

It was very much a surprise that the next two seasons were absolute disasters and would only get worse with a Tommy John injury. Manoah posted good numbers with the Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate and looks to bounce back into Cy Young form in 2026. A team that is perfect at developing pitchers is the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Milwaukee Brewers could take a flier on Manoah for his potential and price, knowing they still have Freddy Peralta and Brandon Woodruff to hold down the fort.

The Brewers have been one of the best at developing pitching, and with Jose Quintana possibly on the way out, they could use another starting pitcher.

If Manoah returns to form, the Brewers now have three potential Cy Young Candidates on their starting rotation and will win the National League Central with ease.

Potential Alek Manoah Contract

Alek Manoah is just 27 years old, and coming off two down years and a Tommy John Surgery. It is very unlikely he will be breaking the bank this offseason.

Currently still under arbitration, his salary based on years of service puts him at $2.2 million. $2.2 million for a player that, if he can get it together, will give the team a top-five pitcher in baseball.

The Milwaukee Brewers will look like geniuses for grabbing Manoah, and it is a typical deal for the Brewers to do. Where some franchises make amazing deals with big-time players for a lot of money, others, like the Brewers, find coal and turn it into diamonds.

The Brewers need to stay vigilant this offseason as their division is getting more competitive. They need to go out and sign Alek Manoah now.
