Keith Hernandez will be on the radio on Thanksgiving morning alongside longtime WFAN host Richard Neer, who is making his return to the station during the holiday.
The beloved Mets broadcaster and 1986 World Series winner announced he would be co-hosting for two hours on the all-sports talk station in a social media post on Wednesday morning.

“Richard Neer is back on Thanksgiving morning 6am-10am on WFAN. I’ll be joining him as co-host from 8am-10am. JOIN US!” Hernandez wrote on X.
Neer and Hernandez are neighbors in Hilton Head, South Carolina and Neer even helped the baseball star move into his South Carolina home earlier this year.
Hernandez’s WFAN appearance comes while the broadcaster is still without a new contract from SNY, where he has been a part of Mets broadcasts for the past 20 seasons.
The broadcast booth of Gary Cohen, Ron Darling and Hernandez has become one of the most respected in baseball and has been a hit with Mets fans.
Hernandez told The Post’s Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman on “The Show” podcast in October that he hadn’t started negotiating with the regional sports network.

“I am not ready to retire. If I do another three years, they’ve always been three-year deals, and then the three-year deal will take me to 75. I just turned 72 and I’m ready to do another three,” he said at the time.
Darling had expressed confidence that Hernandez would land a new contract during an interview in October with a Chicago radio station.

“There’s no way that we can even do what we do without Keith. When Gary Cohen and I do the broadcast ourselves, it tends to get a little nerdy because we’re both a little nerdy by just who we are,” Darling said. “And Keith lightens it up, surely.”
