Why did you choose this college?
I chose Ashland because the campus is really nice, the baseball facilities are amazing, and the coaching staff is great as well. Overall it feels like the best fit.

What other colleges did you consider?
Thomas More, Mount Vernon Nazarene, and Huntington University

What are your personal goals for the future?
My goals are to earn my degree, have a successful baseball career at Ashland, and to be a leader and play a big role in the program. After college I hope to get a job as an intervention specialist and coach.

What do you think your personal skills or attributes are that will help you excel at the next level?
Personal skills or attributes that I think will help me at the next level are my drive and competitiveness. I think that is what’s going to be the biggest thing for me, working hard and competing to get where I want to be. Also coming from the Alder Baseball program built around strong core values is only going to help the transition.

Has competing in college always been a goal of yours, and if not when did that become a goal?
Yes, competing in college has been a big goal of mine since I was young. Baseball has always been my favorite sport and the plan has always been to play for as long as possible.

What are your expectations as you join the team and program at this next level?
My expectations for joining the program at the next level is to just flat out compete. Nothing is going to be given and I’m going to have to earn everything so my expectations are just to work hard, get after it, and compete for everything I hope to earn.
