Dodgers predicted to be “perfect fit” for $460 million four-time All-Star, World Series champion to create super outfield with Teoscar Hernandez, Andy Pages originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are on their way to forming a team that can complete one of the hardest feats in all of sports: the threepeat. If they want to do it, they need to make sure their already super team is totally unbeatable.

Luckily for them, it seems the top free agent on the market could be theirs if they want him. Bleacher Report’s Zachary D. Rymer believes the Dodgers are the “perfect fit” for four-time All-Star Kyle Tucker.
“Their offense, in particular, was pretty mediocre for much of the regular season and even in the playoffs. They won the World Series in spite of it, as Dodgers hitters only had a .658 OPS in the Fall Classic, compared to a .745 OPS for Toronto hitters. Kyle Tucker is the best possible upgrade they can make just in the abstract, and he would slot neatly into an outfield that was an offensive black hole for much of this year. Dodgers outfielders did hit 73 home runs, but with only a .299 OBP,” Rymer wrote.
This past season, Tucker slashed .266/.377/.464/.841 with 25 doubles, 22 home runs, 73 RBI, and 25 stolen bases in 136 games played. Combine him with Hernandez, Pages, and the rest of the super Dodgers, and L.A. could break baseball once again.

Tucker also brings some more defense to the table, as his Gold Glove will work wonders in Dodger Stadium. L.A. is also possibly one of the few teams that can afford the mega deal Tucker’s projected to receive.
If the Dodgers really want this, they need to pursue him immediately. Otherwise, some other contender that wants a superstar to rally around will be knocking on his door as soon as they can.
