Cody Bellinger remains the Yankees’ No. 1 target, and while they aren’t necessarily close to a deal yet, they are making a big effort.

Bellinger has a ton of interest coming off his 5-WAR season, with the Mets, Phillies, Angels and his old Dodgers team also possibilities.

While Bellinger slightly outplayed Kyle Tucker in 2025 (and fits the Yankees and Mets better due to his ability to play 1B and CF), Tucker is the No. 1 free agent due to age, more consistency and high walk rate.

Tucker’s in good shape with the aggressive Jays hosting him this week, as Robert Murray first reported, and the have been very interested all along.
