Three players with the last name of Falsone appear on the roster for Bloomfield softball. It is not uncommon for all three to have their stat lines reported from game to game. Sydney, Addison and Cece Falsone are all difference makers in a lineup that has been bested just once this season.

Officially champions of the Finger Lakes East, the Bloomfield Bombers have another player named the league’s Player of the Week after a dominant stretch.

Freshman centerfielder Sydney Falsone helped lead the Bombers (17-12, 14-0) to three wins in as many days. A Tuesday-Thursday schedule last week saw Falsone and the Bombers defeat Waterloo 4-0 on Tuesday, 12-0 over Midlakes on Wednesday and then ended the week with a 6-1 non-league victory over Honeoye Falls-Lima on Thursday.

In those three games, Falsone went 5-for-7 at the plate, scored five runs and launched a home run.

In the game against Waterloo, Falsone went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base while her teammate Ashlyn Wright pitched a perfect game with 18 strikeouts.

The next day against Midlakes, Falsone went 2-for-3 once again at the plate but tripled her production with three runs scored and three runs batted in.

To end the week against HF-L, Falsone went 1-for-1 with a single run scored and a run batted in.

Bloomfield wrapped up its regular season on Tuesday with a 13-0 win over Penn Yan Academy and will enter the Class C1 sectional tournament as the top seed. Lyons (18-1) will sit right behind them as the No. 2 seed.

Pre-quarterfinals for Class C1 begin on Friday, but Bloomfield will receive a first-round bye in the 15-team C1 bracket.
